Since moving to New York City in 2005, Australian singer & songwriter Karlie Bruce has been fortunate to perform with some of the world’s finest, everywhere from the famed Bitter End to Carnegie Hall.

She was awarded 3rd place in the 2005 Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition, has successfully toured Italy, Germany, Belgium and the Czech Republic, is a songwriter for BBC International Television and her acclaimed self-titled debut album ranked no.2 in Japan, behind only Norah Jones.

In addition to her work with Wheatus, Karlie can be heard playing venues in and around New York City with “Things I Wonder”, Matt Wilson’s Arts & Crafts, Brooklyn’s finest disco band, Escort and her own original projects, in anticipation of her second CD, due for release in 2009.
